After the rain

On one occasion I visited the Rose Garden just after it had rained.  The raindrops on the petals sparkled like diamonds.

(These images are not in chronological order.  I have been taking photos of roses in the Rose Garden for a few years now, and I post them in this recently-started blog as I re-visit them and maybe re-process them in Photoshop.)

Variety

One of the reasons why I enjoy visiting Adelaide's International Rose Garden is because there is so much variety in there, and I never know what I am going to find.

Before the heat

The weather is currently warming up in Adelaide.  Today and tomorrow it will be 41 degrees Centigrade.  So I went into the Rose Garden yesterday to take some photos of roses before it got too hot.

Introducing...

We are fortunate to have in Adelaide, South Australia, an extensive rose garden on the edge of the city known as the the Adelaide International Rose Garden.  It is part of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.  I frequently visit this garden to photograph the roses.  I am particularly drawn to fading roses because of the great variety of  formations, textures and colours which they display as they begin to decline.
